Journal Exercise: Evaluate Your Lifestyle
Many of us experience chronic inflammation, anxiety, depression, and other ailments—all of which can contribute to or exacerbate more serious illnesses. To heal, you must identify the lifestyle sources of your chronic problems.
Think about all the things we do in our lives that make us sick and answer the following questions:
What do you do in your life that promotes wellness?
How often do you practice solitude and meditation?
How often do you replace “react” with “respond” by taking deep breaths?
How often do you practice self-love and compassion?
How often do you feel gratitude? Thinking gratitude is not the same as actually feeling it. Make sure your gratitude is genuine.
Have you created healthy boundaries to protect your well-being?
Give your lifestyle an honest evaluation, and list everything you do that hurts you and everything that makes you healthier.
